This past weekend World Speed’s Pro Mazda Championship drivers headed to Watkins Glen for the final two rounds of the 2017 championship. The double-header Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires event was staged as part of the Verizon IndyCar Series race weekend.
The weekend was cold with a mix of dry and wet conditions which made for some serious strategy questions for all of the drivers.

After an exciting season of road courses, ovals, street courses and rovals Sting Ray Robb finished 6th in points and Bobby Eberle secured 7th. “We are incredibly proud of Bobby and Sting Ray, they set goals and achieved them at each and every event,” stated World Speed President Telo Stewart. “The amount of perseverance and dedication these guys have is contagious, and they fed off each other and really lifted the entire team’s excitement level all season. We’d love to have both of these drivers back with World Speed next season, and we are looking at what opportunities might be open to us for 2018. Of course we could not have had anywhere near such a stellar season if it wasn’t for our WSM crew. These guys work tirelessly, and are the backbone of our effort.The Glen was truly a culmination of the year’s work for the team, and while I think the rain prevented some of it from showing, it really was a great way to close out a great season.”
