Seasoned Competitor Seeks to Leverage Decades of Experience in Pursuit of 2025 Title
Larry Schnur, a seasoned competitor with a diverse motorsports portfolio, has announced his intention to contest the full 2025 Formula Pro USA F3 Championship in partnership with World Speed Motorsports (WSM).
Schnur’s pursuit of the F3 championship follows two consecutive years of third-place finishes in the Formula Pro USA Championships’ FIA F3 class, marked by multiple podium appearances. This consistent performance underscores his ability to adapt and compete at a high level within the competitive F3 field.
A veteran of the racing circuit, Schnur was among the inaugural participants in the Formula Car Challenge, established in 2005. Prior to this, he achieved success in the Russell Racing Schools Formula Mazdas, providing a foundation for his transition to the Pro FM category with WSM. Throughout his Formula Car Challenge career, Schnur maintained a record of successes in the Pro Formula Mazda class.
Notably, Schnur’s career trajectory includes a period of diversification, during which he shifted his focus from open-wheel racing to competitive cycling and Porsche GT3 championships. He is a prominent figure in the cycling community, leading Schnur Racing, an elite masters cycling team. Furthermore, he secured the 2016 Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA Platinum Masters Championship, demonstrating his versatility and competitive drive across multiple disciplines.
“We’re looking forward to helping Larry build on what he has already accomplished in the F3, and decrease lap times and improve finishing positions,” stated Telo Stewart, Team Principal of WSM. This partnership aims to leverage Schnur’s extensive experience and WSM’s technical expertise to achieve championship success.
Schnur has commenced the 2025 season with a strong showing, securing two podium finishes at the season opener held at Sonoma Raceway. This initial performance provides a positive indication of his potential for the upcoming championship campaign.
Next up on Larry’s racing calendar is an F3 double-header at Thunderhill Raceway Park April 5th – 6th.
