For the second consecutive season, World Speed Motorsports has won the Formula Pro USA F3 championship. At the penultimate race weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca last month, Kyle Loh secured the Formula Pro USA FR (Formula Three) Championship with two races remaining in the season.

At the same event Loh’s teammate William Ferguson secured the Formula Pro USA Formula Four Championship. In 2019 and 2020, World Speed drivers finished in the top three in the F4 overall championship. In 2020 Ferguson finished second in the championship even though he attended two less races than the eventual series champion. This year, Ferguson has won 7 out of the 10 races and secured 9 fastest laps of the race.

Kyle Loh has won 5 races, and 5 fastest laps of the race so far in 2021. World Speed driver Jay Horak is leading the Pro-Am points in F3 and has secured class wins and overall fastest laps of the race. The Pro-Am championship is still up for grabs with two races to go.

World Speed Team Owner Telo Stewart:
“We are excited for both Kyle and William locking up the FPUSA 2021 Championships in each class. Kyle has been with us since 2018 and has come up as a racecar driver with us, so for him to win in a car of this caliber with great competition at the events is something we are all extremely proud of. William came into our VMB Driver Development program in the middle of COVID, so his program has been a little different. Due to the shutdowns, he did his first race with us without a test and showed us his potential from the start. As part of our program, we are now working with both drivers on what makes sense going forward, they are both great drivers and we need to make sure they keep moving up.

2021 F4 Champion William Ferguson:
“World Speed Motorsports has done an amazing job this year. With both Kyle and I winning the FR and F4 championships, we showed that they are the best team on the West Coast. Thank you to Jan and Suren for getting the car dialed every track session the whole season. Most importantly thank you to VMB Driver Development and Steve Brisentine and Andy Brown for supporting me during this amazing 2021 season and making this all possible,” stated Ferguson, “I am now hard at work looking at options for next year, everything is on the table.”

2021 F3 Champion Kyle Loh:
“Looking back to December of last year, I was under the impression that I would not be
racing in 2021. When I drove the #5 Exclusive Racing F3 car for the first time, I felt
overwhelmed by the difference in speed & horsepower compared to an F4 where I had
prior open-wheel experience. I left the track wondering if I had the talent to drive
this race car to its full potential. To my surprise, I adapted rather quickly, starting with
the first race weekend at Thunderhill where it was pouring rain during Thursday
practice. With raw speed and zero spins, a strong showing in wet conditions was a
huge confidence booster. We went on to collect 5 victories throughout the season
against competitors of the highest caliber and won the FR west coast championship.

Thank you so much to Jan & Adrian, and the rest of the World Speed crew for an
incredible season! We’ve come so far in so little time, and I’m very excited for the team
to see all the hard work pay off in both the F3 and F4 categories. Also, our success this
year would not have happened if it weren’t for my friends and partners. Thank you,
Allen Berg Racing Schools, Auto Enginuity, Cambrian Academy, DAE Systems,
Exclusive Racing, Miraflores Boutique Hotel, Racing with Autism, Torq Racewear, and
of course, mom & dad for supporting my dream. I will remember this experience for the
rest of my life. As doors for new opportunities begin to open, I hope that this forward
momentum will help me continue pursuing a future in professional motorsport.”

Next up on the calendar: Rounds 11 and 12 and Thunderhill Raceway Park October 28 – 31 2021.
